The Forrest Yoga Continuing Education for Teachers is a five day intensive training that promotes powerful insights and provides deeper integration with your true self, helping you to become a more skilful, passionate, intelligent and authentic teacher, better equipped to deal with the challenges you and your students may meet. Eligible Participants
Teachers aspiring to improve their teaching and personal practice and those that are ready to move deeper within themselves and increase the mental acuity needed to explore the rich tapestry of Forrest Yoga. A minimum number of years of teaching experience is not required. We expect you to have the willingness, health and strength to commit to 100% of this training.

Training Overview
Taught by Jambo Truong, one of Ana’s few Forrest Yoga Guardians, over five days, the objective of this training is to encourage you to develop as an individual as well as to make you a more skilled, intelligent and authentic teacher. Awareness is a vital component when developing the skills necessary to teach from your own found truths. Through daily meditation, intensives and group instruction, you’ll begin to discover the voice of your own spirit, which leads to a truly authentic life path.

Meditation and Intensives
Each day starts off with a ceremony involving chanting, drumming and meditation to set the intent for the day and create the space for healing and connection to your Spirit, followed by a 2-hour intensive that will create a heightened sense of physical, emotional and spiritual awareness while challenging every muscle and cell in your body. Through carefully sequenced Forrest Yoga asanas, Jambo will open you to amazing depths and feelings of awareness. You will leave feeling cleansed, refreshed and alive. The intensives are a sanctuary where you can feel safe to open up, work through issues that may arise and go beyond your perceived limitations. You will learn about yourself and feel what it is like to have freedom in your own body and mind. The intensives are sure to bring you to new levels within your yoga practice. Injuries and special needs are addressed so that you can experience these classes as part of your own healing practice.

Training for Teaching
The afternoon sessions encompass 4-hour sessions of training and instruction. Using skill-building exercises, you’ll work with the essential elements of teaching, such as: class sequencing, explore optimal personal nutrition, work with sadhanas (spiritual exercises), learn about personal and professional ethics, effective pose sequencing, the use of safe and effective hands-on adjustments, and effective clear, concise and powerful communication, eliminating mind-dulling habitual phrases, and tone of voice as well as the continued development of a more charismatic presence and honesty in your class.

Preparation

This 5 day Immersion highlights the key structural muscles that every yoga teacher needs to know about. These structural muscles have many incredible functions and when they are dysfunctional, they can cause pain, limit mobility and strength development. The Forrest Yoga® Continuing Education for Effective Coaching and Teaching is a 6-day training designed for Forrest Yoga® Teachers who want to assist Forrest Yoga® Teacher Trainings, those interested in teaching others how to teach, and those wanting to up-level their teaching and assisting skills. The aim of the training is to make you a more skillful, compassionate and intelligent coach and teacher, so you are better equipped to deal with whatever challenges you and your students may face. Taught by Heidi Sormaz and Cat Allen.

Enrollment
There are 2 different enrollment types in this training: Lead-Assistant-in-Training or Assistant-in-Training.
Lead-Assistant-in-Training spots are limited to 6. Priority enrollment for Lead-Assistant-in-Training is given to assistants who have previously assisted a Forrest Yoga® Teacher Training for a minimum of 5 days. No assisting experience required for an Assistant spot.

Prerequisite
You must be a graduate of the 200-Hour Forrest Yoga® Foundation Teacher Training.

Benefits
* 42-hour credit towards the 300-Hour Forrest Yoga® Advanced Teacher Training.
* If you are a Lead-Assistant-in-Training, you receive an additional 10 hours of credit for the additional training you receive in the private assistant practice at 6:15 am-8:30 am each day.
* Awarded Forrest Yoga Level 3 Certification if you have finished the Level 2 Homework and the Forrest Yoga Mentorship Program
* Eligible to assist Forrest Yoga® Teacher Trainings
* Fulfill your requirements for the 300-Hour Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training program. This CET is a module of the 300-Hour training program.

Course Description
This training teaches Assistants how to coach and teach trainees within the Forrest Yoga® teacher training curriculum. You will learn and practice coaching techniques including how to give teaching feedback, how to work with triggers and challenges that trainees face, and how to coach hands-on assists. Most importantly, you will learn how to create and hold a safe space for learning and growing. This training is a module of the 300-Hour Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training, a training that is open to yoga teachers of any background or style. Completion of this module will help you gain your 300-Hour advanced teaching certification with Forrest Yoga.

Taught over nine full days, this course is open to yoga teachers from any yoga school or lineage and graduates of the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training (no minimum years of teaching experience). Participants must have a regular personal practice and be ready to move deeper within themselves and assist their students in the discovery of the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga. We expect you to have the willingness, health and strength to commit to 100% of this teacher training. You will receive a letter of completion only upon 100% completion of the teacher training.

This program was designed to be highly experiential. The training includes chanting, pranayama, intensive yoga practice, working with injuries, addressing the needs and challenges of students, mentoring your own practice and needs, and learning the principles of class sequencing for advanced poses. You will also be taught how to work with students at different levels and abilities and with different body types.

As a yoga teacher an understanding of functional anatomy is critical to being able to identify weak and under-functioning muscles and which yoga poses to use to engage them, build strength and flexibility.

This 2 day experiential learning course focuses on the 12 structural muscles that protect the spine and hold the skeleton in place.

This Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology module is 2 days in duration and will provide all students with the ability to perform many muscle testing and correction techniques to complement your full body Yoga massage. This module led by Jambo will go even deeper into the anatomy of postures and inter-relationships of the muscular skeletal systems.

These structural muscles are underused in our modern day living and underworked in most of our physical activity, yet have a huge relationship to the nervous system and functional movement.

By gaining a full understanding of anatomy you will be better placed to support your students and grow their practice.

- Understand what these key muscles do, how they interact, and how pain and injury can result when they're not functioning properly
- In yourself and with partners, identify, examine and test these key muscles for function or weakness
- Experience using these muscles in poses - Learn how to activate them and improve their flexibility through yoga

This is the FIRST modular 200-Hour FYFTT, designed especially for those who cannot take off for a full month. Imagine not having to worry about things like food, transportation, or accommodations so that you can focus on learning, relaxing in your free time, and connecting with your tribe. 

The FYFTT is a 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Registered School. It is a comprehensive program for aspiring teachers, experienced teachers or yoga students who want to work deeper within themselves. This FYFTT comprises of two modules. Each of the two modules is 12 days (plus one check-in day prior).
