The Forrest Yoga Continuing Education for Teachers is a 3-day teacher training that promotes powerful insights providing deeper integration with one's true self and helps teachers to become a more skilful, passionate, intelligent and authentic teacher, so you are better equipped to deal with challenges your student may have. Teaching authentically is much more effective and compelling for both you and your students.

Eligible Participants
Teachers aspiring to improve their teaching and personal practice and students that are ready to move deeper within themselves and increase the mental acuity needed to explore the rich tapestry of Forrest Yoga. A minimum number of years of teaching experience is not required. We expect you to have the willingness, health and strength to commit to 100% of this teacher training.

Training Overview
Taught by Sandra Robinson, one of Ana’s few Forrest Yoga Guardians, over 3-days, the objective of this teacher training is to encourage trainees to develop as individuals as well as to make you a more skilled, intelligent and authentic teacher. Awareness is a vital component when developing the skills necessary to teach from your own found truths. Through daily meditation, intensives and group instruction, trainees begin to discover the voice of their own Spirit, which leads to a truly authentic life path.

Meditation and Intensives
Each day starts off with a ceremony involving chanting, drumming and intention setting to build a container for the day and create the space for healing and connection to your Spirit, followed by an asana intensive that will create a heightened sense of physical, emotional and spiritual awareness while challenging every muscle and cell in your body. Through a carefully sequenced Forrest Yoga asanas, Sandra will open you to amazing depths and feelings of awareness. You will leave feeling cleansed, refreshed and alive. The intensives are a sanctuary where you can feel safe to open up, work through issues that may arise and go beyond your perceived limitations. You will learn about yourself and feel what it is like to have freedom in your own body and mind. The intensives are sure to bring each trainee to new levels within their yoga practice.

Teacher Training
The afternoon sessions encompass 5-hour sessions of training and instruction. Using skill-building exercises, trainees will work with the essential elements of teaching, such as: class sequencing, learn about personal and professional ethics, effective pose sequencing, the use of safe and effective hands-on adjustments, and effective clear, concise and powerful communication, eliminating habitual phrases, and tone of voice as well as the continued development of a more powerful presence and honesty in your class.

The Anatomy of Hands on Assists with Jambo Truong

This weekend of experiential workshops is designed to offer practitioners a sensory understanding of their own anatomy in yoga poses. Each morning focuses on a sequence that prepares practitioners to work on the hands on assists in the afternoon. Even if you are not a teacher, learning hands on assists gives you a deeper appreciation of your own body and the directions of your own yoga practice. This course aims to demystify yoga poses and strengthens your understanding of why hands on assists help deepen the experience of what the pose has to offer, rather than how the pose is supposed to look.

As Yoga Bodyworkers, we deliver the science behind the anatomy through the medium of short lectures and muscle testing, but a large section of the training focuses on developing intuitive touch. Brian’s & Jambo’s coaching method is very much focused on the individual, so that we can guide the whole group with theory and practicals but also give personal guidance depending on where each individual is at in their development as a Yoga Bodyworker, we have found that this method of coaching enables us to encourage more of an individual’s gifts to come through.

A 10 day, 100 hour training in Anatomy and Bodywork that applies to Yoga. We teach a combination of muscle activation, myo-fascial bodywork, and yoga training that is pain-specific and leads to improved functional movement. Continuing Education for Teachers, CETs are for yoga teachers who want to expand their knowledge and experience. This course is aimed at yoga teachers but experienced yogis with an interest in anatomy will find it highly rewarding and are of course welcome to attend.
This is an experiential learning course that focuses on the 12 structural muscles that protect the spine and hold the skeleton in place. As structural muscles, they are fundamental to the integrity of the overall body and have a close relationship to the nervous system and functional movement. Yet, these key muscles are widely underused in our modern day living and underworked in most of our physical activity. By gaining a full understanding of functional anatomy you will be better placed to support your students and clients and work with them to remedy issues and you will also gain a greater understanding of your own yoga practice.

In this workshop you will:

Preparation
We suggest that all interested trainees get acquainted with Forrest Yoga and Ana's method of instructing by purchasing the online Forrest Yoga classes with Ana Forrest or any of her Guardians on CodyApp or www.mat2mat.com. These products will introduce the concepts of Forrest Yoga and provide practice for the trainees in Forrest Yoga. The more you are familiar with Forrest Yoga, the more you will progress during Jambo's training.

The Forrest Yoga Continuing Education for Teachers is a 5-day teacher training that promotes powerful insights providing deeper integration with one's true self and helps teachers to become a more skillful, passionate, intelligent and authentic teacher, so you are better equipped to deal with challenges your student may have. Teaching authentically is much more effective and compelling for both you and your students.

Eligible Participants
Teachers aspiring to improve their teaching and personal practice and those that are ready to move deeper within themselves and increase the mental acuity needed to explore the rich tapestry of Forrest Yoga. A minimum number of years of teaching experience is not required. We expect you to have the willingness, health and strength to commit to 100% of this teacher training.

Training Overview
Taught by Jambo Truong, one of Ana’s few Forrest Yoga Guardians, over 5-days, the objective of this teacher training is to encourage trainees to develop as individuals as well as to make you a more skilled, intelligent and authentic teacher. Awareness is a vital component when developing the skills necessary to teach from your own found truths. Through daily meditation, intensives and group instruction, trainees begin to discover the voice of their own spirit, which leads to a truly authentic life path.

Meditation and Intensives
Each day starts off with a ceremony involving chanting, drumming and meditation to set the intent for the day and create the space for healing and connection to your Spirit, followed by a 2-hour intensive that will create a heightened sense of physical, emotional and spiritual awareness while challenging every muscle and cell in your body. Through a carefully sequenced Forrest Yoga asanas, Jambo will open you to amazing depths and feelings of awareness. You will leave feeling cleansed, refreshed and alive. The intensives are a sanctuary where you can feel safe to open up, work through issues that may arise and go beyond your perceived limitations. You will learn about yourself and feel what it is like to have freedom in your own body and mind. The intensives are sure to bring each trainee to new levels within their yoga practice. Injuries and special needs are addressed so that each trainee experiences these classes as part of his or her own healing practice.

As a yoga teacher an understanding of functional anatomy is critical to being able to identify weak and under-functioning muscles and which yoga poses to use to engage them, build strength and flexibility.

This 2 day experiential learning course focuses on the 12 structural muscles that protect the spine and hold the skeleton in place.

This Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology module is 2 days in duration and will provide all students with the ability to perform many muscle testing and correction techniques to complement your full body Yoga massage. This module led by Jambo will go even deeper into the anatomy of postures and inter-relationships of the muscular skeletal systems.

These structural muscles are underused in our modern day living and underworked in most of our physical activity, yet have a huge relationship to the nervous system and functional movement.

By gaining a full understanding of anatomy you will be better placed to support your students and grow their practice.

- Understand what these key muscles do, how they interact, and how pain and injury can result when they're not functioning properly
- In yourself and with partners, identify, examine and test these key muscles for function or weakness
