This session focuses on thoracic mobility and the stability of the body’s most mobile joint- the shoulders. Connect to how stability helps deepen backbend practices to levels of pure pleasure and how thoracic mobility improves breath capacity and the rest of your spine.

The Art of Inversions & Arm Balancing 
This workshop shows practitioners how power moves from the core and into the shoulders to support your growth in enjoying inversions and arm balances.
You will be informed on the anatomy of core force transference and we will spend time playing ‘clean up’ with these movement patterns so that we are transferring our own core power into the shoulders.
This workshop is for all levels as the inversions and arm balances have many progressions which are useful for yourself as well as your students.

In this 6-day training, we will create a sacred container for you to delve into your own experience of Self and Spirit and learn tools to weave threads of your authentic spirituality into your teaching. Each day, we will use a different meditation technique to ground into deep introspection, helping you to increase your awareness of self and of the interconnection of all life. Early morning ceremonies and asana practices will give you the opportunity to apply these meditation techniques to your yoga practice. Afternoon sessions will focus on how to bring these deep experiences of meditation and ceremony to your students.

3 Day CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR TEACHERS: 6th until 8th of September

This programme is a 3-day Forrest Yoga training that promotes powerful insights providing deeper integration with one's true self. It helps teachers and senior students to become more skilful, passionate, intelligent and authentic – inside and outside the yoga room. Space is created within the programme to explore one’s own emotional, physical and spiritual process, exploring who one is including one’s beauty and shadow side. 

Eligible Participants
Teachers aspiring to improve their teaching and personal practice and students that are ready to move deeper within themselves and increase the mental acuity needed to explore the rich tapestry of Forrest Yoga. A minimum number of years of teaching experience is not required.  We expect you to have the willingness, health and strength to commit to 100% of this teacher training.  

Training Overview
Taught by Sandra Robinson, one of Ana’s few Forrest Yoga Guardians, over 3-days, the objective of this teacher training is to encourage trainees to develop as individuals as well as to make you a more skilled, intelligent and authentic teacher. Awareness is a vital component when developing the skills necessary to teach from your own found truths. Through daily ceremony, intensives and group instruction, trainees begin to discover the voice of their own Spirit. The intent is to create a safe and accepting space.

Ceremony and Intensives
Each day starts off with a ceremony involving chanting, drumming and intention setting to build a container for the day and create the space for healing and connection to your Spirit, followed by an asana intensive that will create a heightened sense of physical, emotional and spiritual awareness while challenging every muscle and cell in your body. Through a carefully sequenced Forrest Yoga asana practice, Sandra will open you to amazing depths and feelings of awareness. The intensives are a sanctuary where you can feel safe to open up, work through issues that may arise and go beyond your perceived limitations. You will learn about yourself and feel what it is like to have freedom in your own body and mind. The intensives are sure to bring each trainee to new levels within their yoga practice.

Teacher Training
The afternoon sessions encompass process work, teaching practices, feedback and instructions on how to become a more authentic teacher. Using skill-building exercises, trainees will work with the essential elements of teaching, such as: class sequencing, learn about personal and professional ethics, effective pose sequencing, the use of safe and effective hands-on adjustments, and effective clear, concise and powerful communication, eliminating habitual phrases, and tone of voice as well as the continued development of a more powerful presence and honesty in your class.

Unraveling stress patterns in Hips, Neck and Shoulders - Sept 6 -9 pm
Who is this day and age has not dealt with some form of chronic tension in the hips and/or neck and shoulders? With the fast-paced lifestyle that our generation tends to lead, we are so very often close to or in overwhelm both physically and emotionally. This workshop will explore the possibility of moving the awareness that we hold largely in the upper parts of the body into the feet and the legs. We will delve into the possibility of using mindful grounding to learn to unclog habitual patterns of holding into the neck, jaw and upper back. We will learn to use the felt sense in the body to feel for what we hold on an emotional level. This workshop will begin with the Native American Four Directions ceremony for setting the intent, followed by chanting. A challenging, all-levels asana practice will leave you with a deep sense of grounding and the nervous system having had an experience of rest and rejuvenation.

Connect to Core, Heal your back - Sept 7 - 10 am - 1:30 pm
The gut, the home for the Enteric Nervous System which serves as our second brain, absorbs and responds to life’s stresses. There is also a direct correlation between the gut and the back. The workshop will explore the core and each section of the back using an asana practice focusing on therapeutic backbends. If you deal with pain, holding in any part of the back or the core, this workshop will help relieve pain, but will also help you begin to connect to what is being held in this area of the body. Learn to explore the core and the back while maintaining stability through grounding. This is the a modular 200-Hour FYFTT, designed especially for those who cannot take off for a full month. Imagine not having to worry about things like food, transportation, or accommodations so that you can focus on learning, relaxing in your free time, and connecting with your tribe.

The FYFTT is a 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Registered School. It is a comprehensive program for aspiring teachers, experienced teachers or yoga students who want to work deeper within themselves. This mentorship will explore the teaching process in depth, how it is intimately connected with our personal process and also build a deep sense of trust in community and our ability to hold each other with love and care through this process. We will learn how to connect to our gifts as teachers, while feeling into what holds us back from our full potential. As part of the teaching process, we will also go deeper into assists, how to bring the utmost love and care when we touch and what it means to hold space for a student for their own process to unfold in a manner that is free of expectations and force. The group will be small and consist of between four to eight trainees to allow for individual time, space and safety to deepen into the process.

The mentorship is open to teachers of any style that are interested in deepening their teaching and practice.

Training Overview
Taught by Sandra Robinson, one of Ana’s few Forrest Yoga Guardians, over 3-days, the objective of this teacher training is to encourage trainees to develop as individuals as well as to make you a more skilled, intelligent and authentic teacher. Awareness is a vital component when developing the skills necessary to teach from your own found truths. Through daily ceremony, intensives and group instruction, trainees begin to discover the voice of their own Spirit. The intent is to create a safe, accepting and equanimeous space.

Ceremony and Intensives
Each day starts off with a ceremony involving chanting, drumming and intention setting to build a container for the day and create the space for healing and connection to your Spirit, followed by an asana intensive that will create a heightened sense of physical, emotional and spiritual awareness while challenging every muscle and cell in your body. Through a carefully sequenced Forrest Yoga asana practice, Sandra will open you to amazing depths and feelings of awareness. The intensives are a sanctuary where you can feel safe to open up, work through issues that may arise and go beyond your perceived limitations. You will learn about yourself and feel what it is like to have freedom in your own body and mind. The intensives are sure to bring each trainee to new levels within their yoga practice.

Teacher Training
The afternoon sessions encompass process work, teaching practices, feedback and instructions on how to become a more authentic teacher. Using skill-building exercises, trainees will work with the essential elements of teaching, such as: class sequencing, learn about personal and professional ethics, effective pose sequencing, the use of safe and effective hands-on adjustments, and effective clear, concise and powerful communication, eliminating habitual phrases, and tone of voice as well as the continued development of a more powerful presence and honesty in your class.

The overall intent of the course is to learn to integrate and awaken more parts of oneself in order to become a more authentic, compassionate and grounded teacher. This six-day training module is a part of the Forrest Yoga 300-hour Certification.

Who is this training for?
This 6-day training is designed for Forrest Yoga Teachers who want to assist Forrest Yoga Teacher Trainings, those interested in teaching others how to teach, and those wanting to up-level their teaching and assisting skills.

This will be an intimate, small group of a maximum of 12 people.

Enrollment
There are two different enrollment types in this training: Lead-Assistant-in-Training or Assistant-in-Training.
Lead-Assistant-in-Training spots are limited to six. Priority enrollment for Lead-Assistant-in-Training is given to assistants who have previously assisted a Forrest Yoga® Teacher Training for a minimum of five days. No assisting experience required for an Assistant spot.

This is the modular 200-Hour FYFTT, designed especially for those who cannot take off for a full month. 

The FYFTT is a 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Registered School. It is a comprehensive program for aspiring teachers, experienced teachers or yoga students who want to work deeper within themselves. The Forrest Yoga® Mentorship Program (FYMP) will take you through a journey of continued growth and learning so that you can embody your passion for teaching and become a more effective teacher and healer.

Who this training is for:
Graduates of the Forrest Yoga® Foundation Teacher Training

This FYMP (58 total hours of training) comprises of a 8-day program of daily continuing education workshops/classes (includes teaching practicum w/feedback) followed by 4 bridge calls over a 6-month period. Throughout this program, you will get to hone your teaching and hands-on assisting skills, to become more skilled at working with injuries, to ask your questions about teaching Forrest Yoga®, and to get guidance with your Level 2 certification homework (if you’re not already Level 2 certified). The FYMP is undeniably a powerful continuum of the great work and deep processes you started in the Foundation Teacher Training.

All the workshop days incorporate a morning Forrest Yoga® intensive taught by Sin Her McCabe, hands-on assisting clinic, Forrest Yoga® sequencing practice, and opportunity for : to teach and assist an afternoon Forrest Yoga class to the public (Mentees to get feedback from their Mentor). This 5 day YogaBodyworkers Training focuses on the relationships of myofascial meridians and the meridian system of Classical East Asian Medicine. Who is this training for?
The Forrest Yoga® Continuing Education for Effective Coaching and Teaching is a 6-day training designed for Forrest Yoga® Teachers who want to assist Forrest Yoga® Teacher Trainings, those interested in teaching others how to teach, and those wanting to up-level their teaching and assisting skills. The aim of the training is to make you a more skillful, compassionate and intelligent coach and teacher, so you are better equipped to deal with whatever challenges you and your students may face.

Pre-requisite:

Course Description:
This training teaches Assistants how to coach and teach trainees within the Forrest Yoga® teacher training curriculum. You will learn and practice coaching techniques including how to give teaching feedback, how to work with triggers and challenges that trainees face, and how to coach hands-on assists. Most importantly, you will learn how to create and hold a safe space for learning and growing. This training is a module of the 300-Hour Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training, a training that is open to yoga teachers of any background or style. Completion of this module will help you gain your 300-Hour advanced teaching certification with Forrest Yoga.

Daily Schedule:
Each day begins with a Morning Intensive that includes Calling in the Four Directions, Chanting, and Meditation followed by an asana practice. The afternoon sessions focus on teaching you how to be an effective coach and teacher. Lead Assistants in Training also participate in the early morning practice prior to the Morning Intensive.

The Forrest Yoga Mentorship Program is open to individuals who have completed the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training Course.  This intensive format includes 8 consecutive days of immersion in asana, hands-on assisting, sequencing, and teaching. As with all Forrest Yoga Teacher Trainings, it is also an opportunity for you to deepen your own personal development and the evolution of your soul, through ceremony, journaling, and deep connection with others on the same path.

Following the immersion, you will stay in contact with the group for four additional months, with four bridge calls, exploring topics best suited to an exploratory and interactive lecture format.
