Each morning of this program, you can expect a strong Forrest Yoga asana practice. Afternoons are dedicated to workshops on ritual, Ayurveda, ceremony, and self-care. Evenings include pranayama, meditation, and gatherings on the beautiful Kripalu campus—at the lake, around a bonfire, or in the woods.

This experiential learning course focuses on the 12 structural muscles that protect the spine and hold the skeleton in place. As structural muscles, they are fundamental to the integrity of the overall body and have a close relationship to the nervous system and functional movement. Friday 6:30-20:30 pm: Returning to Self

Ending the week and moving into your own time often requires a bridge that enables you to reconnect to who you are again. We are who we can be when we are exposed to the world. We often do not value the time we need to change hats and express other parts of who we are.
This 2.5h Yoga Ceremony follows a yoga sequence that is designed to undo the kinks that come from holding body postures in a particular way all week. Whether that is sitting, standing or moving a lot.
This sequence is designed to reach the areas that are rarely accessed in movements involved with modern day living, playing and working.

Saturday 10 a -1 pm: Discovering our hidden Vitality

We often find ourselves exhausted and unsure why, this workshop addresses the shields we hold up and the energy requires to hold them up all day, for several daya at a time.
We find that when we allow these shields to move elsewhere we can reach way more vitality.

Saturday 2:30-5 pm: The Healing Anatomy of Savasana

This workshop will show you why specific Forrest Yoga assists for Savasana do what they do for the receiver. We will add additional moves from Thai Massage and Cranial Sacral works to share some methods of how Yoga Bodyworkers caress during this time of total bliss.

The Forrest Yoga Continuing Education for Teachers is a 3-day teacher training that promotes powerful insights providing deeper integration with one's true self and helps teachers to become a more skilful, passionate, intelligent and authentic teacher, so you are better equipped to deal with challenges your student may have. Teaching authentically is much more effective and compelling for both you and your students.

Eligible Participants
Teachers aspiring to improve their teaching and personal practice and students that are ready to move deeper within themselves and increase the mental acuity needed to explore the rich tapestry of Forrest Yoga. A minimum number of years of teaching experience is not required. We expect you to have the willingness, health and strength to commit to 100% of this teacher training.

Training Overview
Taught by Sandra Robinson, one of Ana’s few Forrest Yoga Guardians, over 3-days, the objective of this teacher training is to encourage trainees to develop as individuals as well as to make you a more skilled, intelligent and authentic teacher. Awareness is a vital component when developing the skills necessary to teach from your own found truths. Through daily meditation, intensives and group instruction, trainees begin to discover the voice of their own Spirit, which leads to a truly authentic life path.

Meditation and Intensives
Each day starts off with a ceremony involving chanting, drumming and intention setting to build a container for the day and create the space for healing and connection to your Spirit, followed by an asana intensive that will create a heightened sense of physical, emotional and spiritual awareness while challenging every muscle and cell in your body. Through a carefully sequenced Forrest Yoga asanas, Sandra will open you to amazing depths and feelings of awareness. You will leave feeling cleansed, refreshed and alive. The intensives are a sanctuary where you can feel safe to open up, work through issues that may arise and go beyond your perceived limitations. You will learn about yourself and feel what it is like to have freedom in your own body and mind. The intensives are sure to bring each trainee to new levels within their yoga practice.

Teacher Training
The afternoon sessions encompass 5-hour sessions of training and instruction. Using skill-building exercises, trainees will work with the essential elements of teaching, such as: class sequencing, learn about personal and professional ethics, effective pose sequencing, the use of safe and effective hands-on adjustments, and effective clear, concise and powerful communication, eliminating habitual phrases, and tone of voice as well as the continued development of a more powerful presence and honesty in your class.

This weekend of experiential workshops is designed to offer practitioners a sensory understanding of their own anatomy in yoga poses. As Yoga Bodyworkers, we deliver the science behind the anatomy through the medium of short lectures and muscle testing, but a large section of the training focuses on developing intuitive touch. Brian’s & Jambo’s coaching method is very much focused on the individual, so that we can guide the whole group with theory and practicals but also give personal guidance depending on where each individual is at in their development as a Yoga Bodyworker, we have found that this method of coaching enables us to encourage more of an individual’s gifts to come through.

Jambo likes to teach the location and action of movement patterns and often teaches muscle tests to compliment learning. A 10 day, 100 hour training in Anatomy and Bodywork that applies to Yoga. We teach a combination of muscle activation, myo-fascial bodywork, and yoga training that is pain-specific and leads to improved functional movement. A 10 day, 100 hour training in Anatomy and Bodywork that applies to Yoga. We teach a combination of muscle activation, myo-fascial bodywork, and yoga training that is pain-specific and leads to improved functional movement. Our course is a multi-disciplined approach teaching students to see and work holistically with body/mind/spirit through the mediums of Yoga & Bodywork Therapies.

Taught over nine full days, this course is open to yoga teachers from any yoga school or lineage and graduates of the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training (no minimum years of teaching experience). Participants must have a regular personal practice and be ready to move deeper within themselves and assist their students in the discovery of the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga. We expect you to have the willingness, health and strength to commit to 100% of this teacher training. You will receive a letter of completion only upon 100% completion of the teacher training.

This program was designed to be highly experiential. The training includes chanting, pranayama, intensive yoga practice, working with injuries, addressing the needs and challenges of students, mentoring your own practice and needs, and learning the principles of class sequencing for advanced poses. You will also be taught how to work with students at different levels and abilities and with different body types.
