First introduced to yoga at the tender age of 2, watching ıLillyı (Lilias Folan) on television, Dawn was immediately mesmerized, and quickly and determinedly mastered Ubhaya Padangusthasana. Permanently marked, down to her very soul, yoga imprinted itself onto her very being. Although she went on to explore many other things, film, literature, photography, theatrical lighting design, assistant directing, writing, literary criticism, aesthetics, painting, metalsmithing, kendo, aromatherapy, Sanskrit mantra, and Reiki, Dawn returned to the yoga of her heart in January, 2008. Soon she was immersed in the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training, and beginning the greatest and most transforming journey of her life. In an effort to perfect her teaching and hands-on assists, she apprenticed with Steve Emmerman and Talya Ring, founders of Turbodog Spirit Center, A Forrest Yoga Community, in spring 2009. She also joined the Forrest Yoga Mentorship Program, mentoring under Heidi Sormaz, Ph.D., further honing her teaching skills, and helping her complete the extensive Forrest Yoga Teaching Certification in August, 2009. Dawn plans on taking the Advanced Teacher Training with Ana in 2010. Every achievement is progress towards another adventure. She has an insatiable thirst for knowledge.
