Vicki Brooks has lived on Orcas Island since 1995. She's worked for many different restaurants and other customer oriented jobs over the years, often working many jobs at one time, as that can be a part of island life. She first started taking yoga classes to give back to herself and to remind herself to breathe, which she found very useful during the hectic summer months. After 10 years of practicing yoga, she decided to take her love of yoga a little deeper. She traveled to Denver, Colorado to take the Forrest Yoga Foundation Course in October 2009. It was an amazing experience that further reinforced to her that her yoga mat was the place to be. Vicki is currently continuing her Forrest Yoga education by participating in the year-long mentorship program.
