About Anita:
Anita is a certified Forrest Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) after completing her training with Ana Forrest in May 2015.
With over 15yrs of personal practice, she has a passion for yoga, health and wellbeing.
Anita took her first yoga class back in 1997, and decided it wasn't for her, but after getting back on the mat in 2003, she hasn't looked back.
As a child, Anita studied ballet and in more recent years has balanced her yoga practice with Flamenco dancing, running, swimming and Pilates. A chronic running injury put her dreams of running the NYC marathon on hold and she was naturally drawn to a deeper yoga practice for its holistic healing benefits.

Anita has experienced different styles of yoga including, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, Power Yoga and Vinyasa Flow, however its the intelligent sequencing of a Forrest Yoga practice that resonates with her most and she is excited to be able to share this style of yoga with you.

She has completed training with Rainbow Kids Yoga and Global Family Yoga, earning her intermediate certification in Yoga Therapy for Children.
With this knowledge she has been volunteering for 2 years with A Sound Life charity, sharing the gifts of yoga with at risk youth. She now teaches a weekly teens yoga class, giving them the tools to help navigate this period of their lives.

Anita recently completed (Oct-2019) Adaptive Yoga teacher training (modules I&II) with Matthew Sanford at MindBodySolutions and aims to continue mending the hoop to make yoga more accessible to those with limited mobility. This training was life changing and she returned to Sydney feeling like a different person. She incorporates her new found knowledge into her regular classes.
